Healthcare Scientist Team Manager
I joined UK NEQAS in April 2026 as the virology team manager, bringing extensive experience in molecular microbiology, virology, and diagnostic assay development. Previously, I worked at UKHSA, where I led the validation of digital PCR assays for SARS-CoV-2 and Adenovirus and developed molecular testing and sequencing methods to support public health programmes. Before this, I held senior scientific roles at CN Bio Innovations, NIBSC, Public Health England, King's College London, Roche, and GlaxoWellcome. I hold a PhD in Molecular Virology, an MSc in Cell and Enzyme Technology, and a BSc (Hons) in Life Sciences (Biotechnology), with expertise spanning molecular diagnostics, assay validation, scientific leadership, and quality-focused laboratory practice.
